pci.sys address error by
Richard Saudargas
I am getting a pci.sys address error when I try to install WinXP on a new
system (Intel975BX MB, conroe6600 processor). I installed a 800XL, which I
have put in a couple of different slots and get the same error. The error
seems to be related to the video card. I've gone into the BIOS and...

andre
Just installed Cat 6.8 and MMC 9.15 (fixed a few of my problems: Nero and
MPEG use to cause a BSOD, and had to close TV before logging-off) was at
6.6/9.13.
Having problem with TV sound - it seems to be decoding twice - with one
sound source following the other by 1 second or so.
When I close...

ATI Catalyst 6.8 Performance Analysis - Review by
Tony DiMarzio
http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/938/ati_catalyst_6_8_performance_analysis/index.html
Either TweakTown's CAT review quality is going down or there are some html
backend bugs because there are no references to 6.8 in the review except for
the title :(

Which RADEONs or FireGLs Antialias at 1920x1200? by
Will
My X800GT says in the 3D custom setup dialog that its maximum Antialias
support is 1600x1200. Another user posted here that the datasheet says the
maximum at 6x AA is 1920x1200. Apparently the datasheet is wrong?
My X1600 does not reveal the maximum Antialias setting in the 3D custom
setup...

Major Video Problem with TV Wonder USB by
Lon
The source is a DirecTV receiver hooked up via composite. Also tried
S-video, and coax.
The video plays about 2 seconds worth, then just keeps repeating that small
loops. The audio is fine. Changing the channel on the receiver can be
heard via audio as expected, but the video remains stuck...

Hey, latest linux driver fixed my x86_64 problems! by
Tom Horsley
On FC5 x86_64 I gave up on fglrx a while back because it would
always crash my system when the X server exited.
I just tried the latest x86_64 driver from the rpm.livna.org
site, and it actually seems to work (once I manually enable
fglrx - used to do that automatically).
As well as being able to...

C. J. Clegg
Managed some level of success this afternoon, in getting Fedora Core 5
to run in graphics mode on my HP nw8240 notebook.
The following worked for me. Your mileage may vary, and I'm not
responsible for any damage that may occur by following these steps.

TV out on AIW X800 by
[email protected]
I have an All in Wonder X800. I am trying to use the TV out feature,
but I can't figure out how to enable it. When I bought the card I
ordered the HD block. I don't have HD but I do have a Sony WEGA that
has an open component plug in slot. So I thought I would use the X800s
TV out directly into the...

AIW 800XT secondary monitor refresh rates... by
Chris DiPierro
I just upgraded to this card and can't seem to get the 2nd monitor (off the
VGA out) to do anything but 60Hz. In Windows's display properties, I can
push it to 85Hz (which is supports), but the setting doesn't take. In
Catalyst control panel, I can't see anything then 60 Hz to pick. How do I...

Radeon 8500 doesn't recognise TV.... by
Mark Nicholls
I've had this Radeon 8500LE for about 4 years now & for the first time tried
to connect it to my TV, using a 4-pin S-video adaptor to the RCA connection
on the front of my TV. I seemed to have failed at the first hurdle, as I
can't enable the TV under Displays on the 8500 - the button is just...

The AIW X1900... it is that large to fit? by
KILOWATT
Hi everyones...thanks to read.
I've read a few months ago a post concerning the AIW X1900...that it was
huge and really not easy to fit. He had to push the sata drives against the
front panel, and it was almost impossible to reconnect easily his sata
connectors after the card installation. I had...

Radeon 9800Pro - can it support 1680x1050 resolution? by
PM
I am thinking of getting this for a second monitor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014105
However, I can't find a definitive answer on whether or not its
"recommended" resolution of 1680x1050 is supported by a 256MB Radeon
9800Pro. I have heard that some of the cards...

Screen Resolution by
Canid
I just bought a new monitor and the recommended screen resolution is
1680x1050
This is not on the list when I try to change the resolution.
I have a "ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X (GT-C2U2)" graphics card, what can I
do about this problem?
