Change color of Disk name? by
ritter197
I have 2 external disks and 1 of them changed to blue when I changed its
name, which I like.
The second is also external and I also renamed it, but the lettering stays
black.
I see nowhere in Properties a way to change the color.
How did it happen to the first one and not the second one? And...

Problem mirroring drive on promise tx2000 controller by
Russell Wright
I have a Promise TX2000 and have two WD 120GB drives in a RAID 1 (mirror).
One has gone bad, so I am trying to upgrade the drives to two new Seagate
400GB drives. My plan is:
Create new RAID array and use the good WD 120GB drive as the master from
which to copy.
After establishing a new mirror...

Which monitor should I get for Windows Vista to display HDTV? by
MarkW
I plan on getting Windows Vista shortly after it comes out. One
concern I have thought is I've read how many monitors won't display
HDTV. I am in the market for a new monitor so am considering this.
One monitor I'm looking at is the Samsung 205BW. As well, I am
considering the Dell E207WFP20. I...

My Lexmark P6210 Printer won't work. by
The Doctor
I use WinXP Pro with all updates.
From the computer, the printer won't print from any
application in any user account including new ones created
to test it. On it's own, the printer will print it's own
Test Page.

David J Bush
I just got an APC LS 700 uninterrruptible power supply.
They tell me the waveform it produces on battery backup
is "stepped sine wave." I don't know how many steps
there are per 60 Hz cycle.
I have a SimpleTech 350 GB hard drive which connects to
my computer via USB. Its power supply is a little...

PC preloaded with Windows Server 2003? by
DamFoo
Hello,
Need to buy a new PC which will be used as a test web server. Vital that it
has Windows Server 2003. Tried PCWorld, Dell ETC - no joy.
Anyone know of a PC other than a server which comes with Windows Server 2003
Web Edition?

Old moherboard RAM upgrade. by
MS
Hi,
I have an old PC which I've just turned into a music machine and (living
room) web access. It runs Win 2000 Pro (just) but everything is very slow
to load and I mean SLOW. The reason is it has just 64MB RAM, but virtual
memory is using about 200MB, plainly I need a RAM upgrade.
The...

Hard disk screws just spin? by
M. Ĺhman
My laptop's hd crashed. I'm putting a new one in but the screws just spin.
The first set of screws started to work properly after i pulled them and
screwed at the same time. Is this a "safety" thing, do i need a special
tool? These screws are sunken in so i can't try pulling them.

Is there anyway to make them last longer. I have had bad luck and it is
