WinXP Pro academic upgrade by
Gaz
Anyone know a reliable source for this product? Insight, who seemed to have
been the cheapest by a long shot, seemed to have dropped the product
entirely. No search comes up on their site it was selling at £39.99 + vat.
Many places are trying to sell them at above £60 + vat.
Anyone know where...

Ebuyer 'Super Saver' Delivery Terms by
mrjolly
On the Saturday before last (4/10/3), I ordered some media cases from
Ebuyer.
When selecting the delivery terms, I plumped for the 'Super Saver' method
(£2 cheaper), when I saw that the delivery date would be Tuesday.
What I didn't notice was that it meant *this* Tuesday (14/10/3). Slapped
wrists...

Prices of 15" TFT Monitors - Why so high ? by
Urban Fox
I have just been looking for another 15" TFT monitor to sit alongside
my Dabs Value (AOC), which is excellent with no dead pixels.
Looking on the various websites, I see that prices seem quite a bit
higher than when I bought my first one about a year ago.
I think I read, maybe on this newsgroup,...

Tim
Can anyone give me an idea how much cheaper computer gear is at trade prices

talking about components, printers, monitors, etc, and just a rough idea (%)
will do, assuming I'm ordering around £10-15K per month on average.
Yes I...

Are Computer Fairs all crap? by
Alec
For the first time in 10 years I've gone to a computer fair at a local
hotel. Had to pay £2.50 just to get in. I was pretty underwhelmed by what I
saw.
Stalls selling copied software (illegal surely?), secondhand parts wrenched
from old PCs and Macs, under-spec PCs with flashing coloured lights...
