I have recently acquired a second-hand Mitsumi 4802TE (a small upgrade from my original 4801), but haven't managed to erase or write with some CD-RWs which I bought (Packard-Bell 4x-10x rated). I keep getting a message about the CD-RW being write protected, although they work fine on another newer...

Win XP backup utility vs Acronis True Image to make bootable CD by AG
I often do a clean install of Win XP. After re-installing Win XP, I would manually install Windows patches and device drivers; this is time consuming. I just bought a CDRW (Sony CRX300A) to make the process easier. The "image" that I would like to backup would be a clean install of Win XP with...

INCD install problem by [email protected]
When I installed and use the Nero INCD program at home, it has worked well without any problem. However when I installed INCD on the computer at my office, it didn't work well. At home, when I moved mouse on the DVD folder of Windows (XP) and clicked the mouse right button, I could see the menu...

Home audio MP3 player by Airman Thunderbird
Maybe I can't find the right search term, but I recently suffered the demise of my old JVC CD player which I've had for over ten years. Out of the home audio loop, and I can't seem to find a CD/MP3 player to plug into my equally old Hitachi receiver. Car stereo MP3 players abound, but I'm having no...

NEC1300 wont read ANY discs by AJ
I've just installed a NEC1300 DVDRW, however it will not recognise any type of disc you put in it, be it dvd, cdr or audio. Using explorer you get the 'Please insert a disc' message even when one is in there. Have disabled/enabled drive in device manager, re-installed Nero (5.5.10) and InCD4. Drive...

Hey. yesterday when I was trying to burn some data cd/movies with nero 6.3.1.10, the burning process would fail at some 30%, sometimes 40% and nero would display this message: Illegal Block Size for Command. Since then I've already wasted 5 cd's (sulk). I've been trying to uninstall/reinstall...

Hi, Can anyone offer any suggestions why my Mat****a CW 7586 CD RW drive has suddenly become invisible to Nero 5.0.4.8? Nero is the OEM version, but the OEM version bought with that same drive. The only thing is that I@ve rebuilt the computer with lots of other bits in there. BUT... it worked...
