OPC by Karl Self
I have an old-as-the-hills cheapo Acer CD recorder which occasionally tells me that OPC fails (with incompatible media). OK, so do practically all CD and DVD recorders do an OPC prior to writing? Do they always do this, or only if the ATIP code can't be found in the firmware? If the recorder can...

make cd-r writable by inquirer
Is there a utility or program that will force a CD-R to become writable? I receive all sorts of info now on cds that have only a few % of the cd used and I would like to re-use these. I realise that if I forced the cd to be writable, I would lose all the info already on the disk but that is not...

cd-r 90 by odellmei
Hi, I've just bought some cd-r 90 mins disks, but my nero 6.0 refused to burn more than 80mins. I'm not sure if I adjust the maximum cd length in the Expert feature in the preference will do any good. I didn't do it because it says it might harm the cd writer if wrong length is been set. so I...

Two CD-RWs on one ATAPI channel - bad/OK? by Frank Wright
For 2 hard drives, it's recommended that they be put on different ATA channels so one wouldn't have to wait while the other is using the channel. This would reduce the time to backup a file from one HD to the other HD, for example. Does the same advice hold for 2 CD-RW drives? If one were...

Question on MSI internal CD reader by Don.
A "computer guy" (CG) installed an MSI cd unit in my new fancy computer, but after installation just glossed over it's operation as a burner. He said, "Just 'send-to' any files you want to burn". We were then off to more complex issues on the computer's operations. CG and I aren't speaking now...

How to make a vcd? by Gary Seven AKA: \Mister Fuckhead\
I downloaded TMpeg and used Nero but the CVD I make just won't play in the Samsung DVD player. Is there something that is just one step I can use? Something that will convert the video file and burn to VCD format automatically?
