Question: GHOST-ing a SATA system with a RAID controller by
BD
Hi, all.
I've used Ghost for years to back up my system after getting it dialed
in. That was with IDE, though.
I just got a system with SATA (ASUS M4A79 mainboard) - first time I've
needed a RAID controller driver for a home PC install. And I didn't
even get a floppy drive installed in the case....

No video card in device manager at all by
Michael C[_2_]
How can I install drivers for my VGA card if the card is not listed in
Device Manager at all. There's no driver there, no exclamation mark,
nothing. It's not there in safe mode and it makes no difference if I boot up
in VGA mode. I can't install drivers without an entry in device manager and
if...

Notebook LG P100 by
Avelino Tavares
Hi!
I have an LG P100 laptop whose screen is touch. Installed XP, all drivers
and software from LG site, but still no touch. Accessing the control panel
got there the application to calibrate the touch but does not work.
Someone has already passed the same? What to do?
Thank you.

I saw that the QDI site doesn't exist anymore.
Sorry, I saw that the site is up again (yesterday it was unreachable).
Nevertheless I can't find any link to the driver for this MB. And the
online forum doesn't work.
Tnx!

hard drive - are 4 heads better than 2? by
stockDrover
I am buying a new drive from the Hitachi 7K320 line...very nice
drives.
The line offers 80.120.160.250.320.
All drives through 160gb are one platter. The rest are two platters.
I was settled on the the 160 as the highest density on one platter.
Since it is for my laptop it goes without saying...

Linksys hub model: EFAH05W ver 3 - is it a TRUE hub? by
[email protected]
Linksys hub model: EFAH05W ver 3
Background: I purchased this device to use as a "hub out" device while
using a network analyzer. However, I note that, after a short time,
the LED activity indicates that traffic isn't going to all ports.
Question: Is this device a "true" hub or one of the devices...

Lexmark Optra S1855 fuser error by
[email protected] - delete -net
I have a Lexmark Optra S1855 that has started giving a Fuser error.
Can someone give me a hint as to the possible causes.
I'm reasonably mechanical and electrically inclined.
As luck would have it, when I went to get the error number, the thing
worked, however, I think that it was 523 Fuser...

I recently had a HD die on a Dell dimensions 4300.
I replaced & after about 3 months, the new one suffered the same fate.

diagnostic software that might tell me if there is an underlying problem
that is causing the HD...

Hauppauge 1250 PCI TV recptor card question by
John D99
Does the Hauppauge 1250 card, and other similar cards, draw heavily on the
CPU?
The problem I have experieinced, is that when my CPU gets pegged to 100 pct
(usually when downloading a pdf file), it will eventually overheat and cause
a power shut-off.
Thanks

Cardbus RS232 controller by
DustWolf
Hello,
Does anyone here have a cardbus RS232 ("COM port") controller?
I am wondering if the controller acts like a PCI card RS232 controller
(has an IRQ and works with all software) or a USB RS232 controller (no
IRQ, works trough driver trough Windows and doesn't work with some
programs)?
Thanks...

Sata Hard Drive Installation by
[email protected]
I must be doing something wrong - or I have not done something that I
need to do.
I bought a new ASUS M3A78-CM motherboard that has several SATA slots
on it. Rather than use my existing IDE hard drive, I wanted to try
SATA - so I bought a SEAGATE hard drive.
I brought the system up with my old...
