big drives run quite hot ? by
Timothy Martin
I just upgrade my 40gig Western Digital drive to a 180gig Western
Digital drive, and I am quite sure that it runs, physically speaking,
at least twice as "hot" as the 40gig drive.
It's *not* so hot that I could fry an egg on it, and in fact, I can
touch it and leave my finger on it for 5 seconds,...

Can I have my secondary HD turned off by default at startup? by
John123
Hi!
I have one main HD, and one secondary HD that I wish to use for backups.
However in order to keep the noise and heat level down, I don't want the
secondary HD to be turned on other than at the times it's used to backup
data. So can I somehow configure my system to have the secondary HD...

My new Maxtor 120gig SATA drive died after 2 weeks! Read! by
Steve
Maxtor drives are plain trash in my opinion. I bought a new 40Gb for a boot

5 (that's right...FIVE) Maxtors to fail within a year. I do have one 40gb
that has lasted a couple of years, but both of my only others died...

To be able to completely "uninstall" 98, I will have to go thru all the
registered programs there and uninstall them or just plain delete them.
Could you please direct me to that registry...

wiping "underneath" the files
Hi, i got this idea dunno if it works
I heard that the more times the disk is wiped

I bought a Maxtor 120 gig drive last weekend to add to my system, which
