Pentium 4E and Abit IC7G configuration by
Agamemnon
Can anybody tell me if the following configuration for an Abit IC7G
motherboard will work with a Pentium 4E (Prescott) processor and how far it
might be able to over clock. Does the Pentium 4E come with a heat sink or do
you have to buy one separately ?
I've heard there are issues with the IC7G...

Intel PD 950 3.4 GHZ DC - Voltage Estimate / Envelope Sought by
Agent_C
I’m planning on over-clocking an Intel PD 950 3.4GHz Dual Core
processor, on an Abit AW8 motherboard.
I’d be curious to know what the experienced over-clocker thinks might
be the envelope for this particular combo; but more specifically, how
much additional voltage I’ll need to get it to around 4...

CPU-Z Can't Decide What My FSB Is... by
Agent_C
Check out these 2 screen captures, from the same instance of CPU-Z:
14: http://tinyurl.com/fbafb
16: http://tinyurl.com/eq2lv
The FSB keeps vacillating between 14 and 16 and the CPU speed gets
recomputed every time.
The BIOS clearly indicates a P4 3.2 w/HT and Soft Sandra indicates

Any Such Thing As A CPU Fan Buffer? by
Agent_C
When powering off the machine, I notice the CPU temperature shoots up
as much as 10c and then goes down slowly. Such rapid thermal expansion
could not be good for the life of the processor.
Something that would provide power to the CPU fan for a minute of two
after the machine is shut down would...

Why Does Kingston Do This? by
Agent_C
I just bought a stick of their Hyper-X (KHX6400D2LL/1G) super dooper
memory. It's advertised as: "1GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4
(4-4-4-12) DIMM".
However, when you read the data sheet, it says: "This module has been
tested to run at DDR2 800MHz at low latency timing of 4-4-4-12

Faster Memory Question by
agh
Hi there,
I run a Pentium 3.2 800Hz and use 1024 Corsair DDR memory at 3200 on a CAS
2. All on an MSI 875 Neo FISR
I know this is sweet but I have the chance of offloading my memory and
wondered if I would get a significant performance boost by going for the
same amount of memory but use PC4000 or...

Super pi mod 1.4. by
Al Brumski
Hi All,
Could someone post super pi mod 1.4.
A group is comparing results and they've chosen mod 1.4 to use as bm.
I've got 1.5, I don't think there's a big difference, but they want us
to post a screen cap to verify. I suppose I could get creative with PS
pro, but that wouldn't be honest!!!

Voltages by
Al Brumski
Tod,
When you use the "canned" overclock settings in your P5p800se's BIOS,
youll see that Vcore reamins stock. only the frequencies are modded.
If your cpu supportsspeed step, I suggest disabling it for your oc.
with my p4, any BIOS overclocks that post are rock stable, and they
run at stock...

RDSAIT??? by
Al Brumski
In my bios memory options page, there is RDSAIT auto or manual.
Setting to manual reveals a value field which must be entered in Hex.
I've searched everywhere and found nothing referring to RDSAIT.
Dealing with Award/Phoenix/eSupport is a pain.
Any overclockers know anything about this????
