thoroughbred vs barton by
ellis
What's the difference between a XP 2600+ Barton (512k cache), which is what
I have, and a XP 2600+ Thoroughbred (256k cache)? Aside from the obvious L2
cache difference & slight difference in CPU speed (.02ghz), is one better
than the other? Thanks.

2500+ M by
Scrumpyman
So whats the verdict on these fellas then? Are they the new celeron 750's or
just another case of AMD making one good batch a la 1700+ JIHUB's?

Replying to SPAM in the group and AMD's FSB by
J. Codling
Why do people reply to SPAM in the group? Most of us do not
even see it in the first place until some idiot who thinks
he is an anti-spam crusader replies to it to say they were
report for abuse and/or some comment on how they are not
that stupid.
So, the next time you feel the urge to reply to a...

Spontaneous Bios change? by

Hi, I came back to my PC one day + found it wouldn't boot, went into Bios +
found it was set to 2.5 Ghz (it's actually supposed to run at 2.083 as a
Barton 2800+ but I'd Oc'd it to 2.3)... a lot of the other settings had
returned to default (AGP for example).
Just wondered if it was possible for...

Barton 2500+, PCI speed, 3200+ Voltage by
Chris
So far my Barton 2500+ isn't stable at 200 MHz. It is stable at 190. My
question is, do non standard speeds throw off the PCI bus speed like the old
BX boards? How can I tell what the PCI speed is?
My other question is what is the default voltage for the XP3200+? Is it
higher than the 2500+? Does...
