Migrating to an SSD by
Yousuf Khan[_2_]
Okay, got myself an SSD now. So I want to migrate my Windows boot drive
to it. I have access to a couple of cloning utils that can properly copy
system disks and make them bootable, so that's not a problem. However,
I'm wondering if it's really that simple? I understand that there are
some...

Is it worth buying 4GB RAM for an XP machine? by
Mac Cool
I understand that for some reason it will only recognize about 3.5GB but
I've read different explanations as to why. According to MS website, XP
will use 4 GB. So what's the deal, should I go with 4GB? It's only $30
more than 2GB. When I use the memory configurator doohickies they only

The drives both seem to work fine, but the problem is that the drive
activity light on my case now stays lit constantly! This didn't happen
with the old drives btw, and I...

Audigy 2 ZS, one SATA Seagate drive, etc. and so forth... Temps are ok
and I ran a short test of the memory with memtest and it was ok.
It seems that every time I do almost anything, I end up getting a

Why you should never buy Symantec / Norton products by
Dave
Built a computer for my nephew a couple years ago. It was so nice at the
time, that it's still a decent gaming machine. He's living with mom's
boyfriend, who was trying to be helpful. So he (mom's boyfriend) upgraded
the system from (sygate personal firewall plus AVG anti-virus) to...

Power supplies with solid polymer caps by

I have read that electrolytic capacitors are the least reliable
component in power supplies. I have also read that there are
motherboards with solid polymer capacitors. Are there any power
supplies with solid polymer capacitors? Thank you in advance for
all replies.

For those of you that have already read my plight, I'll keep this short.
I mistakenly got an A7V8X-X instead of the A7N8X-X, so I'm just going to
build another computer around the Via board, sell it, and get myself the
nForce board that I wanted.
Well I'm short on graphics cards so I'm also going...

Need New PC recommendations/info by
Dan
I'm looking for a PC w/at least a 3.4Mhz processor, 1
Gig RAM, 128 Meg Vid. RAM and 80 gig hard drive. A 2nd 10k RPM 80 gig
HD would be nice but I think it'd be cheaper to by that on aftermarket
& install it. I'd also want a 17 or 18" LCD. I'm looking to spend
$1400ish.
The machine will be used...
