Dabs bloody website by
Rhys Jones
I'm trying to use dabs.com at the moment but it's so painful that I'm
going to vent some frustration here.
Dabs have been around quite a while, they are a major, if not the
leading, UK based online IT retailer. You would think then that they
might have some idea of how to build and run an...

Ace traders: Tekheads by
Hellraiser
Just had to say, these guys are great. Fast delivery, prompt responses to
emails, quick refunds, and excellent service when things inevitably go
wrong. Will be doing much more business with these guys in future, recommend
you all do the same.

disgo at Currys by
Jay
Currys are selling 128mb disgo (USB2 storage device) for £39.99.
These are over £50 on dabs.com.
I managed to get a "lite" version (more compact, different styling)
for the same price after a small haggle.

Black Keyboards by

Anyone know a supplier of miniature, or at least small, black PS2
keyboards? Have found something suitable from IBM which even has a
trackpoint built in, but it's £60. Don't want to spend more than £20
really....

Time Computers and locked down modems?! by
Paul Hutchings
Chap brought his PC in to me today because he thought he was losing the
plot because he couldn't get any dialup connection to work on his shiny new
"Time Machine".
After trying hyperterminal and getting "RESTRICTED" to any ATDT commands, I
did a little digging and it appears they're sold with...

Any know of a good courier by
IT Dealers
Good morning,
Is there anyone out there that can reccomend a good courier
company?
We have been using Amtrak, but have recently found that they
have been charging us based on volumetric weight rather than
actual weight.
As a result, where we have charged a customer £25 for deliver for

Why is just about everything you look at, at computerwebstore out of stock?
I did email them about a specific item but all I got was expected delivery
was about 7 days.
Ok not many in stock elsewhere... but everything else is virtually 3 days
delivery.... yea like everything!
However in my...

ATTN: Aria just a thought.... by

Why don't you consider having the people at the counter available to answer
the phones when people ring on Sunday rather than getting a message when
you ring.....
"The person on the other end has hung up on you"
When I called it wasn't busy with two people seen at the counter. Even if
there would...

Expansys order delay - is it normally this bad? by
Tiny Tim
I placed my first ever order with Expansys on Saturday 24th January for six
accessories for a Palm Tungsten T3. At the time of the order some items were
in stock but there was a lead time of two or three days for other items.
This didn't seem a problem - I thought I'd get my order about a week...

Dabs/Parcelforce woes by
Chris
Hi All,
Just found this group and I was wondering if anyone has any
suggestions for the predicament I find myself in.
I ordered some memory from Dabs at the end of January. The goods were
in stock and, indeed, I received a dispatch note later the same
evening giving a tracking number for use at...

I sent an email to on 5 January, a reminder on 5

I have heard nothing from them. Since this was a pre-sales enquiry
(about a couple of UPS's) I guess the chances of after sales support

I bought one!!
