address shouldn't "stay" on the router but should be assigned to the
only ethernet card connected to the router (1 PC),...

agp 8x - how to check transfer rate? by
macowski
I just got a used ge-force 4 ti4200 agp graphics card. I think it is
capable of 8x agp transfer rates. My motherboard is a Shuttle an35 -
the bios has an "enable 8x agp" mode that I do in fact have enabled.
However, the only way I know of to check the transfer rate is with
Sisoft Sandra which...

AGP and PCI-E? by
Lexusan
I've heard different stories about AGP and PCI-E...some say AGP is better and faster...others say that PCI-E is better...
The question is: what is the truth? How much, if any, performance increase would you see over identical cards, one being AGP and the other being PCI-E?

AGP Cards with Long Life Span by
Vernon Davis
We're looking for AGP Cards that are going to be around for a number
of years. The systems are being built with the notion that in five
years we can purchase the same AGP card, so the drivers don't have to
change. I have priced some of the industrial AGP cards from Advantech
and American Predator,...

AGP support in DVO slot? by
Paradox
Possibly a stupid question.
I've got an eMachines D2244. 2.2 Intel Celeron, 256mg DDRRAM, 40GB
Ultra ATA/100.
Up til now, I've been using the onboard "Intel Extreme Graphics
82845G" that it came with. Now I'm toying with the notion of getting a
real graphics card. But I'm not sure if I have an...

Hello World,
When I boot my XP box with an AGP Video Card installed, it will lock
up at the XP boot process. Screen stays at the Windows XP splash
screen that has the little progress bar beneath.
If I remove the card and connect the monitor to the on-board vga, it
works fine.

AGP Video Cards by
Mark M.
I know this is probably a silly question, but are graphics cards such
as
geForce and Radeon and such also considered video capture cards, or is
this something different. I read an article today that made me think
they were different things when I had been assuming it was the same.
Thanks in...

AGP vs. AGP 8x by
Chris_M
I just bought an ATI Radeon 9600 video card that uses AGP 8x. When I
tried to put the card in my machine I noticed the card doesn't fit
into the AGP slot. Is there a different slot type for newer (8x)
video cards?
Thanks.

Alert: Microsoft runs programs, you don't need, on your mashine! by
Mary Jane
Hi,
summer 2003 me and and 2 friend discussed the fact that Microsoft
runs a big number of hidden programs, so called services, on your mashines.
Some services are needed, however many of them just slow down your mashine
and are a potential security problem.
The guys are M.Sc. in Engineering and...
