onboard sound chip: advice needed by
jackson marshmallow
Could someone recommend a fast full duplex onboard sound chip, or a
motherboard with such a chip?
I hope to find something with reasonably good audio quality but don't expect
too much. The focus is speed, so I can do pseudo-realtime processing. The
software I'm going to use is W2k, WDM drivers,...

Win XP boot problem by
Toolward
Windows XP Pro is not recognizing my hard drive when booting. The
bios can see the drive and if I use the recovery console, I get a
clean run with chkdsk. I've done a format and clean install of XP but
to no success. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Motherboard preference? Abit NF7-S v2.0, Asus A7N8X-E or Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 by
Amy
I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on which is the better board
out of the three (Abit NF7-S v2.0, Asus A7N8X-E or Gigabyte 7N400
Pro2)? The Abit board is more in my budget but I hear that Abit has
terrible failure rates with Gigabyte being the most reliable. But the
more I read, the more...
