Opteron vs. Nocona benchmarks by
Yousuf Khan
First bunch of Nocona benchs have come out, this one from GamePC:
http://www.gamepc.com/labs/view_content.asp?id=noconaopteron&page=1&cookie%5Ftest=1
Looks like the Nocona isn't a bad performer, seems to be better at
workstation-style applications than at server-style applications.

Celeron compared to AMD by
Peter Mount
Hello
I'm currently using a Pentium 2-350. I'm on a budget so even though I'd
really like a Pentium 4 I may have to look at Celerons or AMD's. I was
thinking of maybe getting a Celeron and updating it to a Pentium 4 later on.
I found a local computer shop has something called "Transmeta" though I...

Endianess by
Yoyoma_2
Hello,
Simple question. With TCP/IP being Big Endian, and most servers being
big-endian, why did intel choose little endian. I hear it is because of

over a 68HC11 which is a big-endian machine.
Can someone tell me...
