How to get rid of U3 Launchpad? by
dh@.
How can a person uninstall U3 Launchpad? They pretend to give the option from
the Help and Support icon, but then it just goes to a website:
http://www.writethescoop.com/
Doing a search of my hard drive won't bring it up at all. Where is it hiding?
Can I dig it out and delete it?

Mouse! by
Nil[_3_]
I've been using an el cheapo Belkin mouse on my Windows XP desktop
machine for the past couple of years, which actually felt pretty good,
I realize now in hindsight. I was forced to give it away recently and
have been using a no-name spare since then, and I absolutely hate it.
So, I'm shopping...

could even use them there was some sort of minor change to the IDE
interface and they wouldn't work. Are these trays good and reliable

Not enough power? by
Man-wai Chang
Ever since I installed a Sapphire Radeon 6850 into my PC, I needed to
push the power button of the PC twice before the monitor detected video
input from the 6850's DVI port. If I then DID NOT unplug the power,
video input could be detected by pressing the power button once.

More trouble on Gigabyte mobo Bad sound port by
Metspitzer
I hooked my 5.1 speakers to my new Gigabyte mobo. It turns out that
the rear speaker port is bad.
The Gigabyte mobo has 7.1 speaker ports. (Which is front, rear, sub
woofer, center and side) When I found out that the rear speakers
would not work with the RealTek system check, I plugged the...

Line-In and Mic for Line-out (4 or 6 Channels) by

Wow! I just discovered that Line-In and Mic can be used for
another Line-out (speak out).
I did not know mobo was design to switch Line-In port or another
Line-out port.
I'm using Line-In as another Line-out that means I no longer need 4-
channel Soundblaster PCI card. The mobo manual has...

What is Pin 9 on a VGA cable? by
TVeblen
I see a lot of VGA cables being sold on Newegg that do not have all 15
pins. It looks like Pin 9 is missing. Wikipedia says that Pin 9 is
KEY/PWR (+5V). I don't know what that means.
Does it make any difference whether you have all 15 pins or not?

Linux for Windows to surf the net? Using an emulator? by

Anybody tried using a software emulator like VMware to run Linux under
Windows? I'm installing it now, and wonder if you can "surf the net"
with an emulator without having to tweak your internet modem.
