Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook E7010 DVDRW by ratman and bobbin
Sorry for the crosspost (uk.comp.sys.laptops didnt produce anything) This laptop has a modular bay which will accept various drives, batteries etc. I am looking for a DVD RW drive but have drawn an almost complete blank. Does anyone have or know of a UK Supplier of this type of equipment? TIA

This is how to do it by Dr Teeth
I am not going to name the company involved in this story unless they refuse my refund. I have already purchased a suitable domain for the whole story...see later. This company behaved in an illegal and unsatisfactory way IMHO. I bought a wireless router that would drop the PPP connection and...

WTB: Belkin 2-Port Firewire 800 Expresscard (no UK stockists! cananyone source one for me?) by Ben Bayliss
Heya. I'm looking to buy one of these cards, but seemingly no well-known UK supplier is stocking these other than the usual pricelist-but-no-stock outlets. Is there anyone out there who might be able to get hold of one for me? The full details of the item are as follows:

Rock Laptops - Important "heads-up". by Dr Teeth
I recently got my new Rock Laptop and am very happy with it, except for one important thing. It came with Vista (no, that's not it) but System restore was not working and throwing up errors. This only happened when I tried to change some settings. If one does not check it, one would only find the...

Good place to buy LCD? by Derek Baker[_2_]
Looking to buy an LCD. Haven't made a firm decision on model yet. But was wondering which websites have a good returns policy, particularly where I can return the monitor for dead pixels even if it doesn't exceed the official dead pixel policy. Thanks -- Derek
