In short: HT/FSB will not go above 225 MHz :( Even if I underclock my memory using a divider and underclock the CPU using a low multiplier, I can't get HT above 225 MHz without the system freezing! Since I am underclocking both memory and CPU, I guess none of these could be at fault. Or what? I...

Well it is if you use the onboard Via or Promise Sata. Seems the controllers aren't protected by the pci clock lock. As according to Asus UK tech support "it's on a different bus" Wish I'd caught a different bloody bus now... I wish we could unlock the multi's, oh well :(

I've been trying to overclock my Asus K8N with Sempron 64 3100+ and can't get anything past 224MHz (clock generator) that's stable. I've seen an article where the best overclock with this board is 242MHz (the cpu used wasn't mentioned). I'd be happy to get somewhere around 235. I'm using 2 sticks...
