Surfbaud - gone for good? by
TheMongKey
Does anyone know if Surfbaud have quit the battery business? I need quite a
few for work laptops and am very happy with the one I got for my own machine
at home, but the online store has disappeared and what remains on the
website is cryptic to say the least.

Time Computers and locked down modems?! by

Chap brought his PC in to me today because he thought he was losing the
plot because he couldn't get any dialup connection to work on his shiny new

After trying hyperterminal and getting "RESTRICTED" to any ATDT commands, I
did a little digging and it appears they're sold with...

Aria - Custom PCs by
Vittorio Janus
I've been looking at Aria's "Create Your Own PC" offer.
I've bought my last two PCs from Evesham but I quite fancy being able
to specify exactly what I want without the hassle I'd face if one or
more components were faulty.
Basically, you tell them what you want (from their stock) and they
will...

DSR - dead pixels by
Tx2
It's OK to send back a TFT with duff pixels under the DSR, as you can
legally turn the monitor on to check it, and then send it back if you
find the display unsatisfactory; it does not have to be sent back as
new.

within seconds.

Where do I stand - faulty screen from Novatech by

Hello
I hope you all had a good Xmas - I didn't
We bought a Dell 1800FP screen from Novatech towards the end of
November. It worked for about ten days days before the DVI input
failed. Contacted Novatech and was told to call Dell, who offer a
next day swap out.
