Anybody using refills for Canon i9900? by
Tom
I've had my i9900 for over a year now and recently I've been printing a lot
more of those 13 X 19 posters so the ink costs are starting get expensive. So
far I've only used Canon OEM inks but I'd like to switch to refills to save
some money. I realize that the BCI-6 cartridges are among the easiest...

Problems connecting an old HP LaserJet 2100 to an XP Pro machine by
Henry Ross
A colleague has just bought a new computer and is struggling to connect his
LaserJet 2100pcl6 (yes, I know it's old!). Because it only connects via an
LPT cable and the new machine doesn't have an LPT port, he's got hold of an
LPT-USB adaptor and plugged it into his USB port.

Anything you can spray on a "normal" cd to allow inkjet printing? by
Doc
In a quest to use gear in ways the manufacturer says you can't, anyone know
of or tried some aerosol product you could lightly mist on the label side of
a CD/DVD to allow printing on an inkjet printer with direct CD/DVD printing
capability and that for sure won't cause any damage?
Yes, I know they...

Anyone here use HP Photo Creations? by
Ant[_3_]
I use it, but I hate its online requirements and now limits features
(have to pay to use them). Does anyone know of its old version and/or
good software replacements for my decade old 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC and HP
Photosmart 8450 printer?
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

DC
My cyan shows a white stripe in print test. Actual printout look OK. I've done
multiple print clean cycles.
I've noticed some post mention about removing the printhead and cleaning with
some solution. The manual did not have instructions. Are there somewhere on the
net? Th printer is Canon Pixma...

The woe of Epson (C62): by
Davy
My Epson C62 printer started to give me trouble about six months after
purchasing it so I contacted Epson, after a few tests with their
technical team and after wasting a vast amount of ink from their
genuine ink tanks I was advised to take it to a local Epson dealer.
"Print heads" said the dealer...

Another anti Canon rant by

Trying to convince myself for the umpteenth time that my investment in a
Canon printer was not a big mistake I just created a set of prints using
Canon's canned profiles and custom printer/paper profiles generated using a
Monaco system for the Canon printer using Canon ink and Canon Photo...

Cleaning Canon nozzles - i950 bubble jet. by
DD
Where does all the ink go when you perform a cleaning or deep cleaning
operation on the Canon i950? The instructions say that Deep cleaning
uses a lot of ink but there is no mention of where it ends up!
Anyone know?

printing is sluggish - please help by
Adam
Host OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Guest OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 (via VirtualBox)
My laptop prints to a printer connected to
a Win98SE desktop on a home network.
The print dialog is very sluggish to open (from the guest OS).
What is the likely cause of this problem? And, how can it be fixed?

Access control for Lexmark printers by
Wayne Ware
Assuming that these printers have Lexmark ethernet cards (or have it on the
system board), you can set it up so that it will only make a TCP/IP connection
with those addresses you specify.
Start your browser and then enter the IP address of the printer. This should bring
up the web page built...

Printers that do not clog up by
Daniel Prince
Are there any inkjet printers that do not clog up? Would I be
better off getting a laser printer? Do laser printers have problems
with infrequent use? Are they more reliable than inkjet printers?

Xerox Phaser 8200 Solid Ink Printer Observations by
Guy Owen
I have been using the Xerox 8200DP Solid Ink Printer for over a year,
now, and thought the following observations might help potential
buyers or users trying to make a decision on this unit.
1) As reported elsewhere, setup is incredibly easy.
2) Output is very nice, indeed, but does not compete...

measekite and frank can continue to flame each other but I do not have to
read their crap and foul language. As far as I am concerned they have
crossed the line and their ISP should pull their accounts. I have blocked
both of them from my reader.

Which Inkjet printer to buy? by
Dave
Dear all
I wonder if I could possibly trouble you for some advice? I want to buy an

printing DVD/CDr's, photos and regular general printing of docs. I
therefore would like a CD printing facility but also dont want to...

Truth by
measekite
OEM inks cause fewer problems than aftermarket ink.
OEM inks are sold in all marketing channels.
With OEM inks you know who the mfg/formulator is.
With AfterMarket Inks
Most vendors will not tell you who the mfg/formulator is.
Most vendors fail to fully disclose all of the information concerning

Pixma ip4200 - black streak by
Lil' Abner
My ip4200 keeps leaving a fairly wide streak (1/8" maybe) down the back
side of my printed pages. On subsequent pages it keeps getting a little
lighter until it's almost gone and then it starts over again. Obviously ink
is dripping on the roller somewhere. I have taken both black cartridges out...
