tinted B&W by
Paul Heslop
I am using jet tec carts on a canon IP4000. I don't do a lot of B&W
prints and it may be the paper, KODAK thick heavy glossy stuff but I
did a couple of B&W prints which turned out to have a slightly beige
tint, making them look closer to sepia than B&W. Is there a way to
combat this without...

Canon iP4000 Print Head Problem by
Gene West
I have a Canon ip4000 with only 1/2 of the black (3e-BK) printing in the
draft and the standard modes. Very distinct bands (not streaking)
alternating with a good line and a blank line. Cleaning was to no
avail. What I did to be able to use the head was to go into the envelop
mode which gave...

8000 DN HP Printer by
[email protected]
My toner light came on and I'm experiencing a light grey streak going
down the center of the page. Does anyone have an idea if this is all
created by the toner being low or did the fuser go bad at the same
time? Would this have anything to do with the imaging drum?
Secondly, I have around 60,000...

recommend: cheap b&w network laser by
ric
Hi All,
I'm after a cheap, black and white laser printer to supply for a
customer with a small office.
Needs to have ethernet, and for toner to be reasonably priced.
Smallish footprint, duplex and reasonably quick print speed are all
bonuses but not essential.
Any suggestions for a reliable unit...

Why a Third Party RIP? by
Talal Itani
Hello,
Many Epson professional printers accept a 'Third Party RIP'. I do not
understand that. What is the purpose of a third party RIP?
Thanks

Urgent Request from anyone who recently received any of my manuals by
Arthur Entlich
I did something rather stupid today while doing a clean up on my hard
drive. I accidentally deleted all my email, thinking I was deleting my
back up files, which I wanted to update, since I hadn't done so in over
6 months.
As a result, I have the older back up file but lost the last 6 months +...

HP 6578 Weird Color Contamination by
Dennise
I recently refilled (1st refill) an HP 6578 cartridge for my HP 932
printer. I was very careful to inject the correct colors in the right
chambers, and was also careful not to overfill.
Well, printing was OK for about 2-3 pages, then bam!! The yellow
dissapeared and is instead magenta. The correct...

Epson C61: amazing ink usage rates by
Old Nick
Are there any printers out there, by Epson or others, that are _not_
an ink ripoff these days?
I have an Epson C61 printer. Works well, prints reasonably good
prints. Gave me no hassles installing and has never behaved strangely.
I bought an Epson because I was sick of the uppity behaviour of...

Just going through some initial tests here and I am having trouble with

Cartridge: IP 3000 by
Johnny
Have for once tried getting a non-OEM cartridge: the black ink cartridge for
the Canon Pixma IP 3000. It doesn't click into place like it should and is
loose, so doesn't work. It says on it that it's the BJC 3000; I had asked
for a replacement for the BCI 3EBK. Have I been sent the wrong one or...

Any good Epson inkjjet printer? by
satoshi
I loved Epson color printers. They print beautiful pictures. I had been
using Epson printers for many years in the past. Because of frequent
cloggings, I switched to Canon inkjet printers (i950 and S520). But I am
not so happy with color on the prints with i950. Too much red on skin
color. ...

GCC Technologies Toner Cartridge by
Lawrence San
I used to own a GCC laser printer (different model than yours), and the
"GCC" toner cartridges were really OKI cartridges (the laser engine was
made by OKI). It was cheaper to buy cartridges from a mail-order
computer-supplies house than to buy them from GCC -- but I don't
remember whether I was...

How to print 10x7 cards on a Xerox Phaser 8200 by
Tom@VentureForward
I am trying to print out a nice graphic inside my Christmas cards (10"
x 7") on my Xerox Phaser, however 10 x 7 card stock (also known as a
B5 size) is not one of the options. Is there a way to configure this
printer to print a B5 size? Xerox has been of zero help unless I'm
willing to pay them a...

HP Photo paper in Canon i850 by

Got meself an i850--and love it. Only want to use it to print letters,

of much ink used, I'd rather send my files to Walmart for prints.
