Orientate DVD drive standing up by

Thanks for the vote of confidence on the burner software and the
burner.
Frankly, I've had to do what you suggested in the past (create an
archive to hide the fact that some backed-up content consists of files
with names that are too long. It's better to avoid it because the
time you need the...

Orientate DVD drive standing up by

I purchased a DVD burner (internal, but put into a housing). It has a
tray with a depression, into which the disc is placed. It is not a
snap-on spindle, such as what you find on many laptops. The manual
says the drive should be oriented either completely horizontally or
vertically, not some...

Hi,
I have the Micro-Solutions Backpack cd-rewriter (Model 192100). I
bought a new computer with Windows XP, and I cannot find a driver that
will work on this new system. Currently, when I try to copy files for
backup in "Easy CD Creator", the error indicates that there are no
supported...

Problem with NEC 3500 AG (OEM) by
anon
Hi,
I installed a NEC 3500 AG (OEM) DVD-RW burner on a computer with
Pentium 4 (2 ghz)and 500 MgB RAM. WIN XP recognized it right away
during install. I am using Nero 6 to burn DVD and CD-R media.
However, something is not working right. When I use the NEC burner
with Nero (or even Easy CD) the...

Nero Wave Editor Crashes !?! by
Anonymous
8/16/03
I'm trying to use Nero Wave Editor 1.0 (NWE 1.0) to remove an unwanted
portion of a *.wav file.
First I open the *.wav file in NWE 1.0. I then zoom in to locate the
portion of the file I'd like to edit out. However, whenever I try to
click on the now-magnified Wave Display of this...

Mt. Rainier.... by
Anonymous Joe
The new drive from Liteon I got today supports Mt. Rainier.
IIRC, this needs a special disc.
I can't find those either...any help? Or help finding CD-RW 32x media....
IDK how much I'd use it...but I'd hate to use InCD for stuff like this.
That is if XP supports Mt. Rainier...does it, I forget???

Why don't some people get the "other" use of CD-RW? by
Anonymous Joe
How come people, largely, assume that CD-RW is only usable as a UDF disc?
Don't they realize you can use the disc to create all the same discs as you
do on CD-R? Why do they constantly insist upon using the UDF file system,
and complain that they dont want to waste a CD-R on something they're...

Where can I find these storage cases? by
Anonymous Joe
I had found a website that offered DVD cases with many disc storage. I
believe you can order it in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 disc size.
Would anybody know where I can find DVD cases that hold like 3 or 4 discs?

DVD±R sector size? by
Anonymous Joe
Anybody know what the size of a sector on a recordable DVD is, and what sort
of error correction it has in it (ie how a CD's sector is 2352 bytes, 2048
user).
I'm trying to burn some AVI files to DVD, and some work but others dont,
they get CRC errors. I've wasted a DVD-R and a DVD+R on this...

Power Calibration Error on NEC DVD±RW!! by
Anonymous Joe
I have some Ritek G04 DVD-R discs, which are supposed to be compatible with
the NEC ND-1300A I have, but apparently they're not.
Every time I try to burn them, I get "Power Calibration Error" That's all
it says. I had 1.05 firmware, and that recognized the discs as 2x, but
wouldn't burn because...

Laser Temperature... by
Anonymous Joe
If a CD-R burns with a 300C laser temperature (572F) & CD-RW at 600C
(1112F), then what does a DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW burn at? Also, I
believe a CD-RW is erased at 200C (392F), so what is a DVD-RW and DVD+RW
erased at? Also, since a CD is read at 100C (good ol 212F), what would a
DVD be...
