I have a Compaq 5330us desktop and the onboard graphics card is going bad. I also want to add a DVD Recorder. As this computer is about 4 years old, is it worth getting a different graphics card and recorder or just buying a new computer?

Compaq Presario 5140 Anybody hear of this one. I do a normal shutdown sequence, Start-Shut Down-Wait for Ok-Then press button on front for about 3 seconds.
