P4 core voltage question by Crhoff
When moving above a 2.0 Ghz the process changes from .18 to .13 micron and the core voltage goes from 1.75 to 1.5. My Asus P4B MB says it can use up to 2.6 Ghz yet it also says it uses 1.75 v. Does the cpu itself reduce this voltage to the 1.5 it needs?

PCI Express Isochronous transfers by J?rgen
Hello, I'm interested in quantitative performance values of PCI Express, i.e. especially about delay jitter and the isochronous behavior of the bus architecture. I have not found any measurements about it. Jürgen

SATA Raid0 on Intel chipset by RoS
I am unable to configure RAID 0 on a brand new computer so as to install Win XP. I know this is lengthy but I just don't want to miss out some, to me trivial, but in reality vital piece of information. The following components were assembled for me (the brief to the assemblers specifying that the...

865PE 915G 533MHz FSB and DDR400 question by Bill
I am thinking of buying a new motherboard using 865PE or newer 915G chipset. I want to start off with a 533MHz FSB Celeron D and perhaps upgrade to a 800MHz FSB P4 much later. Both Asus and Gigabyte manuals for their 865PE boards quote that only DDR266 or DDR333 should be used with 533MHz FSB...

Pentium M and desktop P4 MS Excel performance. by One Punch Mickey
I have a customer who use a hefty Excel 2003 workbook with maybe 10 sheets and a lot a lot of VBA and formulas. On a midrange P4 laptop recalculating this takes maybe 5 minutes. On a top-end Pentium-M tablet laptop it would take over an hour if I left it. Could this in any way be down to...

Less than 4GB memory supported in an ASUS P5AD2 Premium mainboard? by KB
Hello, I installed Samsung four DDR2-1GB on an ASUS P5AD2 Premium, and upgraded the firmware from version 1009 to 1010. The BIOS screen shows only 3328MB, not 4096MB or something around 4000MB. Then, if one of the four 1GB modules is detached, the screen shows 3072MB, a correct value. According...
