Derek,
Just making sure you are asking the question you think you are getting
answers for. Does the ti4200 run under DX9, yes, absolutely. Does the
ti4200 support specific DX9 functions, no. Just wanted to make sure you
weren't asking if the card would or wouldn't function in a DX9 setup.

Yes and no. The drivers for the card are indeed DirectX 9 compatible
so you can (and should) install DirectX 9.0b onto your system. The
card however is not a DirectX 9 compliant card meaning that it doesn't
have the full set of hardware features for DirectX 9 effects.
